In today’s English assignment in class Mrs. Crawford assigned us to get with a member of our group and discuss our next essay we are doing. In my opinion the essay will be fairly easy, because what it is about is you have two articles that the teacher Mrs. Crawford gave us and we have to write a summary about them. They have more details that go along with the essay as well. While we were with our partners We were told we had to create a rough draft plan and a thesis for our essay. During this time period of trying to figure out how to start this essay off and figuring out a thesis for it we discovered that if you read both articles first you will be able to create a thesis and rough draft plan much easier than you would if you just skimmed over it and tried to figure it out. I have not yet started on my Rough draft I am still needing to read my second article so I can figure out a Plan to get my essay started. Once I have my rough draft done I can than start on my Final draft and soon be done with the essay.

“How Safe is Myspace?” is an article that was written by a young lady named Hillary Hylton. In the article Hillary talks about two different stories pertaining to the title of the article. One of the stories is a young girl who is originally 14 years old pretends to be 18 and date a 19 year old boy. In the end of the story the 19 year old boy ended up getting arrested for having sex with a minor. Another headline in the same article How Safe is Myspace tells a story of a 16 year old honor student from Michigan flew as far as Jordan to marry a boy she had met only online on myspace. As the article says “or parents who have only a passing knowledge of MySpace, let alone the ever multiplying horde ofcompetitors like Xanga, Facebook and Bebo, it may be hard to understand why kids flock to these sites and how they can be more dangerous than old-school chat rooms. The reason: in chat rooms, predators have to engage in conversation to get to know people. But on sites like MySpace, they can access gobs of information by reading users' profiles, which tend to include photos as well as blog entries and bantering with friends. The article “ How Not to Lose Face on Facebook” was not in the articles that we were able to read for some reason but the group that explained the article some what explained it good. The person presenting the article in group four had said that its easy to “lose” your face when all you do is social networking sites. What that means is that you communicate to your friends and family members more so on the computer and through all the social networking sites rather than giving them a call, ringing their door bell saying hello of meeting up somewhere. It is easy to lose contact with people you may know when you get addicted to the computer.

In the video Hand Held learning by Danah Boyd She talks mainly about technology. The first minute Danah Boyd talks about how some people in today world think that technology will ruin the education of kids. One the other hand some people also believe that technology will solve all problems and actually help kids in their education in many ways. It will introduce classrooms to all sorts of technology and we can actually connect all sorts of people around the globe. “How do we develop which technology to take into the classroom? And how do we deal wit the possibility of failure of bringing in these technologies? “As Danah Boyd says. Education is first and foremost about teaching young people to think. The video clip goes on and Danah brings up the subject of social networking sites. One of the networking sites she mentions in her story is myspace. She asks “Are you my friend?” Danah goes off of this question by telling the audience there are three clusters of behavior around friending. First there are people who have 30-40 friends and who try to keep it an intimate space of theirs. Then there’s the teens who have a couple hundred friends, everyone they’ve ever met. Then there’s the people who collect. Usually the people who collect are musicians, scammers, and politicians. “There is only one group of teenagers who tend to collect. Those are young boys who try to collect as many hot girls as possible” Danah tells. Teens were interviewed and this is what most of them replied with “Because my parents don’t let them out of the house much the computer is all I can really do.” People are starting to use networking sites more and more for an [Audience.] Because they don’t get out of the house much they don’t have many people to talk to, they don’t have a social life outside so the computer is their only way to have a social life and to interact with others. The video goes on about how kids aren’t safe online because of the people they add on myspace or the people they add on face book that they don’t even know.

This class period in Mrs. Crawford’s English 301 class we went over a work sheet that helped us with out compare or contrast essay that we are having to do. The work sheet had things on it like point 1 than underneath that line it had subject 1 and subject 2. The next line had point 2 and under that it had subject 1 and subject 2 and so on all the way to point 3. Than at the very end the last line was the concluding sentence or paragraph. When the points of subjects and the concluding sentence or paragraph have lines next to them we are supposed to fill them in with our own information we have. We did not really work in groups like the syllabus said we were supposed to do yet we popcorn read. In other words we took turns reading and explaining the paper and how we were supposed to go about it. The paper will be very helpful in the long run because it will allow me to separate my essay into different parts and I will be able to go off of the paper and have main points and subjects in my paragraphs like I am originally supposed to have. It will just make things go a lot smoother!

Recently I have been thinking about my future a lot! My mother works at Trinity University. There is a program that after my mom works there for two years I can go to any university through out the united states that is also with this program for half tuition and after four years I can go free tuition to any of the colleges. I have looked and looked and thought about which college I would want to transfer to after getting my basics done here at SAC. I never really wanted to go to Trinity University just because I thought it was too close to home and I wanted to just get out of the house and live on my own. Now I have been thinking about staying here and transferring to Trinity and living in the dorms my junior year and maybe living on my own my senior year. Even though that I still a year and a half away I need to know what my future plans are and how I am going to go about them. I have always been one to say “Oh I would never choose a college just because my boyfriend goes there!” Even though my boyfriend does not go to Trinity he goes to UTSA. He is one of my reasons for staying here in town. Silly I know. I just cant wait to see what my future looks like. I want to get out of SAC asap and move on to getting my education degree and graduating college and become a Elementary School Teacher, have kids, and grow up! I want to have my own life out of my parents house. This is crazy, yes, but I cant wait to have to pay my own bills, go grocery shopping for myself buying me my own car that I actually bought myself. I just cant wait to grow up! Adults always say “Your going to miss your childhood, don’t be in a rush to grow up it’ll come faster than you know.” Like I said I want to be a grown up, I want that! I can not wait to have my own house with my husband and little kids running around acting all crazy. I am so excited to have that life style later on in my life.

I believe that now a days people or should I say much less girls in this cruel world that we live in try and attempt or wish to be many different things that they are not. In the Dove Revolution you tube video that we were told to watch the people in the video were making over a girl what was meant to look like how girls should appear in today’s world. First they made her over did her hair and make up and made her look all pretty, so we thought, than after taking the photo o the young lady they pulled it up on the computer and started making many of changes. Changes as in making her neck taller making, her eye brows higher and just many more little things like that. When photographers make over your picture after they have already made over you in real life yes the pictures may look pretty but it is giving girls a view of them selves saying that they are not pretty enough to be just made over and snap a picture but also that they have to make the picture over so it looks even better. In an article called Health & Fitness: Snip, Suction, Stress, and Truss they first talk about Cosmetic Surgery. As the article says “A nip here, a tuck there, and the face you have at 40 is no longer the face you deserve but the face you can afford. In the past five years, thanks to new surgical wizardry, media hype and the laws of gravity exerting their inevitable effect on baby boomers, cosmetic surgery has soared in popularity. Last year some half a million Americans were snipped, suctioned, stretched and trussed, compared with 300,000 in 1981. Once the province of aging screen stars and wealthy matrons, cosmetic surgery now attracts middle-class office workers, many in their 30s and 40s, and many of them men. Los Angeles Plastic Surgeon Richard Grossman describes the phenomenon as "another transition" for the restless Me generation: "They protested against the wars, and now they're protesting against the mirrors.” The article is saying that not only girls but guys are now worrying about how they look or how people see them. It is not a safe environment to always be in having a snip here a tuck there. People need to realize that you are who you are. A snip here and a tuck there can be taken care of many other different ways. Exercise more, eat better. Its all up to you on what you choose to do with your body.

Computer Lab Reflection Oct. 12, 2009

On Monday October 12, 2009 In English class we had went to the computer lab. During our hour of time in the computer lab we had looked at a few music or radio sites, what ever you want to call them. The first site the teacher had told the class to type in was called Pandora. I have heard of Pandora before. Only once do I recall actually being on the Pandora site. Well it was not really the actual site of Pandora, my boyfriend was showing it to me on his phone. He thought that Pandora app was really cool. When our English teacher Mrs. Crawford had told us we were going to be looking up a music site called Pandora I got kind of excited because I had already known what the site was. I think Pandora is a really cool site not only because you can play all the music that you want but because you can pick any music from different genres to different artists to any song that you want. The other site that our teacher had told us to type in was called lastfm.com. It as well as Pandora is a music site. I like this one better. Lastfm I thought was easier to work with and it showed videos too. That was a plus. If I had to start using one and had to choose between which one I wanted to use I would definitely choose Lastfm. The last few minutes of class Mrs. Crawford had to hurry and rush to show us this map thing on Google. Again I have already seen Google map before. My boyfriend Taylor as well as showing me the Pandora app he has showed me the Google map app. The Google map app comes in handy in different ways. One of the ways it can come in handy is that if you are looking for a specific house you can type in the address and it will show you exactly where to find it. Also if you for some reason need to know what a certain house looks like and you have the address, you can type it into Google map and it will pull it up right away for you.

blog #15 Wrting Center Experience

On the day of October 6, 2009 I had an appointment in the Writing Center at 10:45 with a girl named Jen. I have never had Jen as my writing center tutor so I was very anxious on how she was different form my last writing center tutor. When Jen and I had first sat down she had me pull up my video blog on YouTube. The name of my video blog at the time was Fred Brito: The Great Pretender. We has watched the video blog minute by minute. The way that I seemed to think Jen is different from my last Writing Center tutor was she was very actually helpful on completing her task of helping me. I believe that is a good thing when you have a great tutor. Not only because you get stuff done but you learn a lot from the person that maybe you did not have already known or just something they had taught you over again. Jen helped me actually separate my essay into different sections and different paragraphs. In those sections she helped me figure out what was going to be in them and what I really should not put. What also helped a lot with Jen being my Writing Center tutor was that when I would write little notes and stuff on my paper she would read it over me and tell me if it was important enough to say and where to put it. I think this was my best tutor conference I have had so far. Even though I have only had two. One thing I wish would have gone different was that I wanted to have a little more time because I had a few more questions that I would have liked to ask her but did not. I believe next time I sign up for a Writing Center tutor I will try and get Jen as my tutor because she was great. Another thing that I will try to do is when I am signing in for an appointment or scheduling and appointment with the Writing Center I could possibly try to schedule two appointments in a row if that is at all possible. If I am not able to do that than I will just need to get in the Writing Center as soon as possible the very first time my teacher tells us and schedule two appointments at different times and different dates to have double tutoring sessions before the dead line of the essay is due.

Vlog Reflection

The Authors name of my vlog I will be writing the essay on is KoolJeffery. Well that is his online name anyway. The site to get to the vlog I am talking about is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VCl9LxS56ZA&feature=channel. The blog starts out pretty funny at first. KoolJeffery is wearing these really old and big framed glasses from like he twenties and is also wearing earmuffs. While wearing both of these items he is impersonating a boy with a Russian ascent. After about the first forty five seconds KoolJeffery takes off the really old and huge glasses and earmuffs and starts to tell a story of a guy named Fred Brito. Fred Brito in his younger days had a stuttering problem. His mom took time to the doctor and the doctor had told Fred “The only way to get rid of the stuttering was to take on different characters and act as voices of other people. Fred liked who he was when he was acting not himself. In the 70’s Fred was having tough times from being homeless to going to jail for sleeping in his car. After jail Fred had been thinking positive. He went to the library to do research. Fred found ways to make fictitious resumes. He had made several fake resumes and got many jobs off of the fake resumes. He became someone other than himself. After many year of being someone who was not himself, he decided to turn his life around. In the end Fred was turning his life around. All the thousands and thousands of dollars he was making from all the jobs he had, he was giving it all back to the poor and needy. This one family especially. Fred was helping this family out on a daily basis from paying their water, food bill, electric, to the rent. Fred became someone good!

Reflection on Oct. 5

In todays class we were in the computer lab. The assignment for today that Mrs. Crawford had assigned was to look at any body elses blogs in the class that they had posted and to comment on two peoples blogs. It did not matter whose blogs you commented you jsut needed to write two comments on two different blogs to recieve a grade for the day. On one of my blogs a friend in the class commented about it. The comment really helped a lot because she had said that I was writting the blog as if I was writting an essay. That really inspired me to really think when I do my blogs for now on because now that I know they can be that good as to it would look like I was writting an essay than why not try my best. Well I try my best on everything anyways but this just helped me a little more do work my hardest. Now when I write not only my blogs for english but when I write just normal papers and even journal entrys for class if thats assigned I know that I will open heartedly Think and know that I can do my best on anything and everything I put my heart to!

oct. 2 reflection blog

Today in class Mrs. Crawford walked in, took roll and briefly explained what the assignment that was going to be during the time that we were in the class. The assignment for the day was that we had to make a time line describing what our vlog was about. In the time line we had to write five basic points. The first major point would be the beginning. In the very beginning it should include the title, who, what, when, and where. The third major point would be the middle and the last major point would be the end. In all these majors points. They all had to include different types of senses. Some of the main senses that Mrs. Crawford told us we had to have in those three major points were smell, see, tough, taste, sound and background. Not all of those senses have to be used in every major point but most all do. The beginning needs to have what the vlog looks like, what is going on and what you can hear and maybe taste. The middle and end need to have all of those same things if possible. Mrs. Crawford had said to get a partner, just one. After we had figured out who our partner would be, we had to get out a piece of paper and a pen or pencil. The next part of the assignment was that we had to sit with our partner and we would choose who would go first in the activity we were assigned to do that day. After we chose who would go first and who would go second ,the first person would tell his or her partner what their vlog was about. After they had told each other what their blogs were about they went over each persons time line and figured out what their major points would be in the vlog hey had chose for the descriptive essay. After each person or partner was done and their partner was done helping them with their time line they were done for the day.

Anthropological Introduction blog

In today’s experience on watching the you tube video called “ An Anthropological Introduction to You Tube” by Mie Wesch I had learned a lot of new information that I had not known before this video. While watching the video Mike Wesch would talk about many different thing like how you tube got started, how people view hundreds and hundreds of videos every hour of the day, and how you tube had progressed massively over the many years since it started up. In one of the many scenes in the Anthropological Introduction to You Tube video there was a music video of the song numa numa. As the video was getting more and more views as the days went by people started to reenact the numa numa video and film it them selves. Now there are hundreds of reenactments of many different types of videos, and its all because of You Tube. There are two other scenes in the Anthropological introduction to You Tube that really made the videos become popular. One of those scenes is the soulja boy video. If this kid had never posted a video of this dance on the internet much less on You Tube he probably would have never became famous. As people started catching on and the word spread about this young artist and his talent he became popular and was on the radio everywhere. The last scene from the video we had watched in class was a what is known as the “Charlie bit my finger” video. In this video its two little what believe to be are English kids. The older boy looks to be about the age of 3 and the youngest boy looks to be about the age of one. They were sitting on a chair together and the oldest boy kept putting his finger in his younger brothers mouth, then finally “Charlie” the one year old bit down hard and the older boy screams “Ouch ouch OOOOOuch Charlie bit my finger, and that really hurt!” People made the video famous, no it is all over the world. I thought this Anthropological introduction video was interesting. It really showed me how things can get around on the internet so fast and how people interact with certain things.

Difference btwn email blog and email essay

While in the tech lab during the second week of school , Mrs. Crawford’s English 301 class was told to do another blog. We were supposed to have already done one blog the last time we were in class. The title of the second blog was to be called “Fake Email.” What this blog was supposed to be about was we had to write a fake email to a friend or anyone actually and just complain the whole entire email about a bad grade that we had received in any class on a test or homework grade or even an essay. Just recently Our English 301 teacher Mrs. Crawford had the whole class wrote an essay. The title of the essay was “Email Etiquette Essay.” As you notice that the essay and the email are the same. What I thought was to be different between the two projects was that in the fake email blog we had to write, we were just writing to a friend. In the blog I also did not think it had to be a that proper because of who we were addressing out email to. It is different if your writing something to a friend than if your writing something to a professor. In the Email Etiquette Essay that we had to turn in for a grade, we were writing it to one of our professors. It could be to a made up one or a real one. The actually email paper that we had to turn in had many requirements to it. Some of the requirements was that the paper had to be in MLA Formatting, double spaced, a certain font and size and many others. In the email blog assignment the only requirement was that there had to be 300 words at the minimum. That’s what I believe was to be different between the two assignments assigned to us.

reflecting on todays group work sept. 21, 2009

Today in class we all brought our rough drafts for our Email Etiquette Essay. We got in our original groups that we are usually in, during English class. While we were in our groups we had clearly discussed each and every persons rough draft email essay during the class period. While each person was reading their email assignment the others in the group listened very carefully. When the person who was reading was done reading the paper everyone in the group went around saying what they thought the persons paper needed and why it needed what we had said it did. The people in my group gave some pretty good advice to the other group members in group 3 or as were also called “The All Stars.” After all the people in my group had read their email etiquette essays that they had written it was finally my turn to read. While I was reading I could tell my group members were very in tuned to what I was having to say at the moment. After I had read my whole essay my group was supposed to give me advice on what I need to change and what else I needed to write in order to make m email etiquette essay better than what it was than. My group gave everyone else great and very helpful advice but when it was their turn to give me the advice it didn’t really happen. All my group really ended up telling me was that my essay was good and I did not really need to change anything. That’s the worst kind of advice someone can give you when your asking for their help to write an essay, a project or just an ordinary email. In the end my group was helpful to everyone else so I believe we worked well together that day!

Summerarizing todays articles 9/18/09

In today’s article “Getting Back Into It” a guy named John Connor and his wife were married for thirty three years and counting. After his wife had passed away n 1997 John with three grown children for the first time found himself sad and al alone. One day while John was on his computer while at work an ad popped up. It was a match.com ad. He hesitated at first than clicked on it. He wound up meeting a lady around his age who was divorced and also worked with computers just like john. "The Internet gave me a new way to meet and date at this stage of my life," says Connor, 60, who divides his time between homes in Plano, Texas, and Naples, Fla. "It's making that initial effort--when you find yourself alone after so many years with one person--that's the hardest part of dating." As John said in the article.

Another article that was read today was called “Is eHarmony biased against gays?” When you are making an account on eHarmony it only allows you to choose man seeking woman or woman seeking man. There is no man seeking man or woman seeking woman. Which personally I think is a brilliant idea.

The last article we read today in class was called “The Dating Detectives” The article talks about a boy named Vikas Sharma. A 28-year-old operations manager with an IT company in Mumbai So, like many in India's mushrooming urban middle class, Sharma began dating someone online, using one of the dozens of matchmaking sites that have flourished in recent years. "I met a girl on a matrimonial site, and our relationship reached an advanced stage," he says, by which he means they had been chatting and meeting off and on for several months.

Reflecting on Today's Experience Sept. 16

In Mrs. Crawford’s English Class today we had read the Email Etiquette Assignment paper by doing what is called popcorn reading. What we learned by reading the Email Etiquette Assignment is that the email has to be in MLA formatting . Which in this case means double spacing, white paper, black ink, and Times New Roman and size font of twelve. What I believe that will be hard about this assignment is that when we type up the paper on our computers we are not allowed to use certain words. Some of the words that are not supposed to be typed in this paper are you and your. Usually when I write essay papers I am used to saying what I am going to be writing about in the assignment, but Mrs. Crawford is not allowing us to use the starting of sentences like This email is about, I will tell you, and I believe. One reason of what I think will be an easy task about writing this paper is my English Teacher Mrs. Crawford is not making the amount of the essay to be really long. The essay paper only has to be 2-3 paragraphs with six sentences in each paragraph. Pretty easy. I think writing this assignment will be helpful. One reason I think that this assignment would be helpful is that I know that some time in my four years of college, what ever college I am at I will need to politely write an email or type a paper to a professor or mine asking about or asking to change a specific grade of mine on either a test, quiz, homework, or regular in class assignment. So in the end of writing this paper it will be good practice for me!

Article Reflections on Sept. 11

Al Gore: Should Schools Be
Wired To The Internet?
As TIME wrote last October, "all kids, not just ones from families that can afford a home computer, should grow up with a mouse in their hand." The President and I could not agree more. Access to thebasic tools of the information age is no longer a luxury for our children. It is a necessity the author of “Al Gore: Should Schools BeWired To The Internet?” says. In the article where Al gore and the Author state their opinions I also have my own opinion. Having computers in school really is no longer a luxury for children and students but a necessity because maily most communcations are being used by the computer in many different ways. Yet also teachers now a days are making theireverything from assignments, class work, homework and even having their class disscussions on the computer using the internet, email or some other source. The authors stated facts was that “A 1996 study showed that students with access to the Internet not only presented their final projects in more creative ways but also turned in work that was more complete and had better syntheses of different points of view.”

Where phones in class are ok!
I believe having a class like the one presented in the atricle would be very interesting. A part of the article had said “Auten was one of nine students learning to create iPhone applications, or apps, for a new course at New Jersey Institute of Technology last spring. More than halfway through the seminar, the information technology major dreamed up two apps of his own, developed them with the knowledge gained in class, and sold them on Apple’s online store for $0.99 each.” Not only does this class teach you to be creative with the work you attempt but you can be your own “boss” or in other words an entrepreneur.

Articles

Reading Writing Iphoning
When students come back to school for a new year at Abilene Christian University or Oklahoma Christian University and others they are likely to receive in their package they paid for either an iphone or an iPod touch and at OCU along with those choices they give you a macbook computer. All though if you choose to get the iphone you have to accept the expenses. Every month you have to pay the AT&T phone bill. "It's an eye-catching toy," concedes Kevin Roberts, chief information officer at Abilene Christian. "There's been a lot of interest from students." All though teachers may use it for lectures and email and homework assignments they can also be used for many different things that the school provides. On the itouchs and iPods the school has provided the students with being able to access a lot of different and unique applications. Some examples of a few applications they have provided are an app called the panic button. It allows you to contact the local police and gives them the ability to find where you are located and the locations that you are needing help at. Another app that the schools have made up actually let you take attendance on your iphone by displaying pictures of everyone in that certain class along with four status buttons which are “Tardy, Absent, Here, Excused.”
Tech helps students adopt good study habits
Purdue University professors are using online "signals" to communicate with students that either their grades are dropping or their doing a great job. They do offer study habit suggestions, and provide positive attitudes to students who are passing quizzes and exams. The signals that the students would see when they sign onto their blackboard are signs that of traffic lights. Green means that everything is good, passing and all yellow means you are close to failing and either need to get back on track or come ask for help and red means you are failing and need to get things in order immediately.

Reflecting on Setember 4th blog

I had felt that being in class today was a success! I learned quite a bit of information from coming to todays class that I would not have known how to do if I did not attend. Today in Mrs. Crawfords English class we were in the Technology Lab. We had learned how to open up the syllabus and read it carefully. As well as learning how to open the Tentative Schedule from our pals account. All you need to do is go to files click courses and double click on “Going Places Tentative Schedule.” After that you will find the articles that our group has to read and take notes on for our presentation on wenesday, as well as finding the essay assignments that we would be doing paper work and essays on with in these next few months of being in this class. My group “Group 3” or other known as “The All Stars” the articles that we are reading are called “Technology Helps Students Adopt Good Study Habits” by Dennis Carter, “Clive Thompson on the New Literacy” by Clive Thompson, “Reading Writing, iPhoning” by Elizabeth Woyke, and “Texting: The Gr8 Db8” by Marcus Berkman. The article that my group and I specfically decided for me to read and take notes on is called “Reading, Writing, iphoning” by Elizabeth Woyke. I do believe in my group. The people in my group seem to be pretty hard workers and from what I know and can tell they get their work done on time and turned in when when they are supposed to. Working with the five other students in group 3 should be interesting. Just like a relationship, friendship,or even coworker things will go wrong but if we all work together and work hard I know we can accomplish anything that gets put in our way!

Email blog

Dear Taylor,
Oh my goodness, I am sooo MAD!! Do you know what Mrs. Crawford actually gave me on that exam we took last week that I had told you I studied so hard for? A 50! Can you believe that? I mean come on, a 50? My mom and dad are going to flip. Im going to be in so much trouble! Can you say no phone, no compter, no tv, NO CAR! Augh im going to just die. L This makes me so upset, how can a person study so long and hard for a test and fail it? It just does not make any sense to me at all. I am thinking ill go in early Monday morning before her class and talk to Mrs. Crawford about it, maybe she’ll let me take the test over or even do test corrections. You think? Oh that would just be so wonderful if she really did let me do one of the two and plus that would bring my grade up so much having a failing test grade come up to passing test grade. I wonder if I had studied that wrong paper work and homework because now hat I think of it the test was pretty hard. Or maybe Mrs. Crawford just made the test like that on purpose to see if people studied more than what she had said to..hmm. I wonder what everyone else had got on the test as well. I’ve been thinking I should get together with some of my english class mates and we can form some kind of study group. That would help not only me but the other students in he group as well. I think that would be an amazing idea! Well I have to go now time to study for the next test coming up woohoo!

My Writting Process

As the years have gone by I have noticed many different aspects about the way I do certain things and what I do in order to get ready to accomplish the tasks I'm trying to achieve. Other people in the world may have realized as well as I do that thay also have so many other dfferent ways they prepare by doing certain things to get ready for writing assignments. Some people may relax for awhile before trying to write while some may exercise so they can focus better while doing so and many others may even simply find a quiet place in a small hallway or room to try and write their paper.
In order for me to get ready for a writting assignment like an English paper or even a resume to a work place or simply just an email to an old friend what I try to do is first sit down in a nce and quiet environment, get out a scratch piece of paper and a good pen or a sharpened pencil and jot down some main ideas and hot topics for the assignment that im having to do. After I have many main ideas that I have thought long and hard about and have taken the time to write each and every one down, I try putting them all in order from the first very main idea I would like to talk about in my assignment to the very last hot topic I would be writing.

How you use technology in your world today!

Technology is a very important part of todays society. Technology today is used to email others, listen to music, look up documents and information on the internet, verbally talk with people who are not in the same room with you, text message, and navigate your way around the big city. Those are only a few of the main technologies that we use in todays world. The first main piece of technology that I use would be my phone to call and text people when I want to talk or have questions about certain tasks. Another main piece of technology would be the computer to get on different websites and review things I need for a test or project. In the past we never had computers, tv's, telephones, radios etc. If technology was never invented, the world would be a very different place to live in. I believe the people who had thought of all these different types of technologies would not be able to wrap their minds around all the unique and developed uses that we have for each one of them today.
